This painting shows six-arm Mahakala surrounded by inner mandala Protectors. The portrait drawing detail is of the 20th century enlightened master, Kyabje Kalu Rinpoche. As my root spiritual teacher, Rinpoche set the intention and creative ground for composing this thangka painting. The original painting, inscribed and consecrated in a ceremony by His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso, is permanently housed in the Buddhist Art Collection of the Denver Art Museum, Colorado USA.
