PILGRIMAGE : A Dakini Map
Pilgrim: a traveler, a spiritual seeker, one on a journey of truth Pilgrimage is a topological exhibit of paintings on paper and cloth, composed throughout a period of more than sixteen years. From 1987 into 2004, I designed and painted the interior murals and related artwork in four major stupas, three in the USA and one in India. Inspired by these substantial mural painting projects, this exhibit displays three interrelated spheres of the body of work I developed beyond the murals. Click on any of the images to see more paintings in each of the three interrelated spheres; stupa portraits, stupa medallions, dakini map.
This spring I will begin what is another chapter of the entire Pilgrimage Series of Artworks; Stupa Portraits, Stupa Medallions and the Dakini Map. This Pilgrimage Journey for 2017, will begin on Earth Day April 22nd at Phuntsok Choling Retreat & Event Center, Ward Colorado. It will end on May 9th at Shambhala Mountain Center, Red Feather Lakes Colorado –just prior to the Indelible Presence May retreat, “Touching the Moment”.
